Ground floor house with loft 74m2

ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
The construction system used by our company allows the client to choose the size, the layout, the interior design and generally the style of home desired according to personal and family needs. The option to take-over and continue construction from our company at any stage is also available. This allows the opportunity for clients to bring in their own team anywhere along the construction line, thus reducing expenses.

THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
The correct technical foundations demanded to ensure the safe construction of homes has been an important factor in having successfully established our name in the Greek market for many years. Houses built by our company are done so based on the specifications K.En.A.K. (Regulation of Energy Performance of Buildings) which include the specifications for architectural, static, thermal insulation, fire protection and earthquakes.

COST OF CONSTRUCTION
The cost of construction and the final value of prefabricated housing is 30% lower than the cost of conventional construction. The total cost of the house depends on the type of construction, type of masonry, flooring, decorative materials etc. It is important to note that the value and the total cost of the home is known from the start, with no hidden extras that occur during conventional construction.

ANTI-SEISMIC CONSTRUCTION
As there is frequent seismic activity in Greece, homes built in this way offer maximum prevention from possible earthquake damages. This has been tested and certified by the urban planning authorities before issuing the permit. Any failures in material or workmanship are eliminated as everything is completed in standard factory production. The anti-seismic quality of the homes is due to the load-bearing shell being constructed of European wood, offering the flexibility as well as the strength needed in any earthquake activity. The structure of the whole construction thus ensures excellent ductility and effectiveness since the walls and the roof are much lighter than standard concrete slabs, resulting in a lower centre of gravity of the building to the ground which in turn results in the resistance to cracks.

ECO-FRIENDLY
The natural qualities of wood help regulate humidity by absorbing a large percentage of this when any form of water vapor or condensation is present. Also the natural sound-absorbing quality of wood contributes to better sound insulation. By using wood as the raw material in the bearing frames and roofs of the houses we construct, ideal living conditions are created. As wood is the warmest building material, it offers ultimate warmth in winter and coolness in summer in combination with the most suitable insulating materials which, although have minimal setup costs, improve internal temperature regulation. The explanation is simple: timber acts as a physical and natural temperature regulator thus adjusting the relative humidity of air inside the housing. In effect, a balanced, internal "microclimate" and a pleasant atmosphere is created which is not significantly affected by the climatic conditions prevailing in the external environment.

STRENGTH AND DURABILITY
Prefabricated homes are strong and durable because the basic building material used is wood. The abundance of wooden constructions throughout Greece, such as in the villages of Pelion and Zagoria, together with the first pre-fabricated homes built which are still standing strong, are proof of the durability of wood, as are the quantity and range of pre-fabricated construction in both Europe and America where the climatic changes are not as kind as they are in Greece.

FAST CONSTRUCTION
A very important advantage of prefabricated housing is the project delivery time which is between 3-4 months, depending on the design and size of the house. They can be ready with key-in-hand within this time frame, or sooner if the customer wishes to complete sections using their own workers. Economy, estimated cost from the start, fast completion, durability, excellent aesthetics and high quality are the characteristics of our construction company.

SEE THE CATEGORIES AND THE STRUCTURE OF WALLS

Our constructions are based on of thick wooden wall and roof frames. The wood is of European origin:

they are anti-seismic as wood is a more elastic material than brick or concrete
• they have a long life because wood ‘lives’ about 95 years
• they have a high static efficiency
• they have a high resistance to fire as the outer sides of the housing are coated with acrylic plaster, while the roof tiles and window frames are aluminum
• wood absorbs moisture and is an excellent regulator of condensation
• wood is a bad conductor of heat, providing coolness in summer and warmth in winter
• wood absorbs noise, seismic tremors and radioactive radiation
• wood filters the air and enhances ion levels in oxygen
• wood is a natural, healthy, eco-friendly material
